Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have when using autobankstatement.
Last updated: October 1, 2025
Information we collect
Account data such as name, email, and billing details you provide during registration or checkout.
Usage data including IP address, device information, timestamps, and feature interactions collected through analytics for troubleshooting and product improvements.
Uploaded content: bank statements or financial records you submit for conversion. These files are encrypted in transit and at rest.
How we use information
Operate and improve the Service: processing uploads, generating outputs, maintaining logs, and developing new features.
Communications: send onboarding emails, product updates, security notices, and support responses.
Security & compliance: detect fraud or abuse, meet regulatory requirements, and maintain audit trails.
Storage & retention
Uploaded files and generated outputs are stored only for the retention window configured in your workspace or as required by law. Default retention is 24 hours unless otherwise specified.
Account metadata and billing records are retained while your subscription is active and for a commercially reasonable period afterward to meet legal obligations.
Access controls
Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate the Service. All access is logged and audited.
You can manage teammate access via the admin console. Authenticated users see only their own statements unless granted explicit workspace permissions.
Sharing & processors
We do not sell customer data. We rely on vetted sub-processors for infrastructure, storage, payment processing, and analytics. Each partner is bound by confidentiality obligations.
If required by law, we may disclose data in response to valid legal requests. We will notify you unless prohibited from doing so.
Security measures
Data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Secrets stored using role-based access and hardware-backed modules where available.
Automated monitoring, alerting, and routine penetration testing help detect anomalies early.
Customers can bring their own storage bucket and key management for additional control.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@autobankstatement.com. We respond within applicable legal timelines.
You can export conversion history or delete files directly from the dashboard subject to retention policies.
International transfers
Data may be processed in the United States or other regions where our infrastructure providers operate. We implement safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses when transferring data from jurisdictions with additional requirements.
Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new practices or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page, and significant updates may be communicated via email or in-product notices.
